LAHORE, Dec 5 (SABAH): Under the Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust Lahore, due to the increasing cold, winter package distribution program was organized at Karamat Colony Community Center in which winter packages were distributed among deserving families of Muslim and minority Christian communities.
Separate functions were organized in this regard at Karamat Colony Community Center and local church. The winter package included men’s and women’s sweaters, jerseys, warm sheets, shawls, socks, blankets and other items.
Zubaida Jabeen, Deputy Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan women wing, Saira Ibrar, Ismat Naheed, Rubina and deserving families participated in the event. In total, winter packages were distributed among more than hundred women. Speaking at the event, Zubaida Jabeen said that Alkhidmat Foundation is engaged in the service of humanity inside and outside the country.
She said that Alkhidmat Women’s Wing Trust Lahore is serving not only Muslim but also minority brothers and sisters without discrimination. She said be it a festival, hot or cold weather, employment issue, health and education sector or issue of providing dowry to deserving girls, Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust Lahore leads in the front due to which she paid tributes to it.
Zubaida Jabeen said that service to suffering humanity is indeed a worship and expressed her hope that the office-bearers and volunteers of Alkhidmat will continue to serve humanity with the same enthusiasm.
