Rehabilitation & reconstruction work of flood affectees moving forward with fast pace under ‘Tameer-i-Wattan Programme’ of Alkhidamt Foundation: Dr. Mushtaq Mangat


LAHORE, Feb 17 (SABAH): Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Mangat has said that the rehabilitation and reconstruction work of the flood affectees is moving forward with fast pace under the “Tameer-i-Wattan Programme” of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.
Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Mangat visited the flood affected areas including Taunsa Sharif, Fazalpur and Sui and reviewed the different projects including the rehabilitation of the farmers under the “Tameer-i-Wattan Programme” of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.

Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Mangat said that so far seeds, fertilizers and pesticides have been provided to 10,000 small farmers, which is an effort to increase the food production of the country along with helping these farmers.

He said that Alkhidmat Foundation has consumed Rs 10 billion for rescue and relief activities for the flood affectees; whereas restoration and rehabilitation work was underway with Rs 5 billion, which include construction and rehabilitation of 10,000 houses, construction and rehabilitation of 600 schools, mosques and religious seminaries, arrangements for permanent looking after of 3,000 orphan children and provision of clean drinking water. He said that every possible help will remain continue till the complete rehabilitation of the flood affectees.
