PTI founder wants NRO from establishment which would not be given to him: Azma Bukhari


ISLAMABAD, April 28 (SABAH): Information Minister Punjab Azma Zahid Bukhari has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan wants NRO from establishment which would not be given to him.

While addressing a press conference at the National Press Club, Islamabad, Azma Zahid Bukhari said that anniversary of May 9 is coming, adding such a worse day could not be in the history of Pakistan. She said these people write letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and added sometime they sit outside the IMF office. She said the words ‘it cannot be done’ are not in the dictionary of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The provincial information minister said that government of Maryam Nawaz spanning over two months has started to give outcomes. Azma Bukhari said that she challenges the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to bring forth any big project during 10 years. She said no project of Maryam Nawaz’s government is in the file, adding every project is being done on ground.  

She said that the PTI founder wanted NRO from establishment which would not be given to him. She said when a party comes out it damages police, adding it has been party’s routine from 2012 to 2024 to damage the country. She said in Punjab flour bag price has come down by Rs 800, adding there has been decrease in the price of vegetables which would be continued.

She said that CM Punjab believe in provision of facilities to the masses, adding that she is working day and night for the masses. She said that politics of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) believes in public service instead of falsehood and hurling accusations on others. She condemned the statement given by CM KPK Ali Amin Gandapur regarding attack on Islamabad. She said there is no restriction on political parties but it would be imposed on terrorists.

Azma Bukhari said there are different governments in the country which create competition among them. She said in Sargodha work is underway on a hospital of heart diseases. She noted that they are improving economy of the country everywhere. She said media is like a family for her, adding after starting politics, she had come in media. Bukhari said she gives more time to cameras in comparison with her family. Azma Bukhari said that she will resolve the problems of the journalists on priority basis, adding that the launch of media phase-II in Islamabad is very crucial. She said that work on Media Town Phase-II is continued with fast pace, adding that access of the metro station to media town will also be made possible.

Azma Bukhari said that we are brining new housing phase for journalists and CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz will make formal announcement regarding this, adding that Media Town Phase-II will soon be completed. She said that on the pattern of Lahore, the society will be established for journalists in Islamabad.
