Mushaal Mullick lauds COAS General Syed Asim Munir for unwavering support for Kashmir cause


ISLAMABAD, May 05 (SABAH): Mushaal Hussein Mullick, former SAPM on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, hailed Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir’s unwavering support to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their just struggle for right to self-determination. Mushaal Mullick paid rich tributes to Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on his 3rd martyrdom anniversary.

Mushaal Mullick, a wife of unlawfully incarcerated Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, stated that the army chief’s remarks on Kashmir that Pakistan would continue to provide “moral, political and diplomatic support to our Kashmir brothers was a source of inspiration, as it would give a new impetus to the ongoing Kashmiri freedom struggle.

The Hurriyat leader went on to say that the Pakistani army chief’s assertion was a reminder to the brave Kashmiri freedom fighters that they were not alone in their just fight, as entire Pakistan was firmly standing by their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their pursuit for freedom to break the shackles of Indian slavery.

Mushaal Mullick stated that General Syed Asim Munir rightly highlighted that the international community’s silence about the reign of terror unleashed by Indian forces in IIOJK could not suppress the voice of freedom. She continued that the Pakistan army chief’s remarks was a clear-cut and unequivocal message to India that Kashmir was an internationally recognized disputed territory whose final status was to be decided as per the UN agreed formula and aspirations of the people of the scenic valley.

Mushaal vowed that the notorious Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government and its proxies in IIOJK should bear in mind that the days of India’s tyrannical rule over the occupied Kashmir were numbered, as the dream of removing yoke of Indian subjugation would soon become a reality. The Hurriyat leader appealed that the international community should take cognizant of the worst war crimes of Indian brutal forces in the valley and force occupied regime to ensure a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions.

Meanwhile Mushaal Mullick paid rich tributes to veteran Kashmiri pro-freedom political leader Shaheed Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on his 3rd martyrdom anniversary. Shaheed Sehrai was the chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir who achieved martyrdom on 5th May, 2021 while he was in custody in Jammu jail. On the directions of BJP government of India, like many political prisoners languishing in Indian jails, old aged Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, patient of multiple ailments, while in custody was not provided with proper medical treatment by the jail authorities, the statement read. She termed his death as a cold blooded murder by the authorities.
