Ishaq Dar, Uzbek FM Bakhtiyor Saidov resolve to expedite efforts for early implementation of Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pak Railway Project

ISLAMABAD, May 08 (SABAH): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has expressed Pakistan’s desire to enhance relations with Uzbekistan in various fields including trade and economy.

During a meeting with his Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in Islamabad on Wednesday, Ishaq Dar said there are strong friendly relations between the two countries.

The Uzbek Foreign Minister said his country attaches great importance to relations with Pakistan. He said they consider Pakistan as their second home.

They also resolved to expedite efforts for early implementation of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Project.

Ishaq Dar welcomed Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ishaq Dar held comprehensive talks on all aspects of a range of bilateral relations with a focus on trade, investment, security, people-to-people contacts and connectivity projects. They also resolved to expedite efforts for early implementation of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Project.
