Delegation of youth organization Raah-e-Aaam holds meeting with Syed Waqas Jafri, presents cheque for Palestine relief fund

RAWALPINDI, April 16 (SABAH): A delegation of youth organization Raah-e-Aaam held meeting with Secretary General Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Waqas Jafri at Central Secretariat Alkhidmat Complex. The delegation obtained information about Alkhidmat’s services for suppressed communities in Pakistan as well as abroad.

Syed Waqas Jafri while appreciating youth interest in welfare activities especially Alkhidmat’s projects said that Alkhidmat’s volunteers program is making country green, ensuring participation of youth in plantation drive, ending smog, emergency disaster and keeping  on working in other projects.

Talking about the current crisis of Gaza, Syed Waqas Jafri said that Alkhidmat Foundation had initiated rescue and relief activities at the start of war with its partner international partner NGOs. Till now, relief items worth more than Rs 2 billion have been shifted to the victims of Gaza, he added.

He said that Alkhidmat Foundation is ensuring provision of scholarships and monthly expenditures to Gaza’s students studying in Pakistan, adding provision of scholarships to the students studying in different areas of Egypt is in the final stages. He said that Alkhidmat has also ensured scholarships to the students studying in Turkiye.

He said Alkhidmat’s camp office and warehouse have been established at Cairo from where relief operation is being continued. He said aid luggage, medicines and a modern ambulance with 37 big trailers have been sent to Gaza from Cairo. The youth on this occasion presented a cheque on behalf of their organization for Palestine relief fund to Syed Waqas Jafri.
