190 million pound scandal case, hearing on petition fled by Malik Riaz for restoration of frozen assets adjourned till April 16

ISLAMABAD, April 4 (SABAH): Accountability Court of Islamabad adjourned hearing on petition for restoration of frozen assets of property tycoon Malik Riaz Hussain and his son Ali Riaz Malik in 190 million pound scandal case, till April 16.

Senator Farooq Hamid Naek, lawyer for Malik Riaz Hussain and Ali Riaz Malik appeared before the accountability court. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted the reply. NAB prosecutor told the court that headquarters had directed him only to submit the reply which is why he could not give arguments. He said the second team has to present arguments and he has no authority in this regard.

The court remarked the lawyers who had to present arguments should have appeared before the court. The judge of accountability court said that arguments would be given on April 16 and verdict will be announced on the same day. The court adjourned hearing of the case till April 16.
