Youth are real capital of country there is no need to be disappointed: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman says on 9th Alkhidmat Youth Gathering’s mega event
LAHORE, Nov 16 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the youth are the real capital of the country and there is no need to be disappointed, those who are sitting like snakes on the country’s treasures should be ousted through struggle.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing mega event of 9th Alkhidmat Youth Gathering held under the auspices of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.
He said unfortunately, the interests of the rulers who are in power are not related to the people, adding the two percent elite class is consuming the resources while the country’s resources should be spent on the people.
If the government system is fixed, this private sector can also join our 1400-year history, these people first destroy institutions, then bid to sell them, he deplored and added the Punjab government decided to hand over 13 thousand schools to NGOs while the NGOs will run the schools under their own agenda, as if the government is transferring its responsibility to others, it is dangerous for the country and the nation. He said young people should resist this too.
President Alkhidmat Foundation Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Secretary General Alkhidmat Syed Waqas Jafri, Chairman Volunteer Program and Central Vice President Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat, Zikrullah Mujahid, Syed Ehsanullah Waqas, Secretary General Women Wing Dr. Humera Tariq, former Member National Assembly Dr. Samia Raheel Qazi, Dr. Ayesha Madani, Dean University of Lahore Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Akhtar, Vice Chancellor University of Home Economics Professor Syeda Faleha Kazmi and Chairman Film and Broadcasting Punjab University Dr. Lubna Zaheer also addressed the ceremony.
Jamaat-e-Islami Information Secretary Qaiser Sharif was also present on this occasion. The slogan of 9th Alkhidmat Youth Gathering was “Apni Dunya Ap Peda Ker” [Create your own world]. The purpose of organizing the Youth Gathering was to make the youth aware of the importance of volunteerism and how they as youth can serve during the suffering of humanity. Honorary shields including Naimatullah Khan Lifetime Achievement Award were also given to the heroes who made Pakistan famous around the world.
Hafiz Naeemur Rahman while expressing appreciation for the services of Alkhidmat Foundation said that even a small role in welfare works deserves a great reward from Allah Almighty. He said that equal education opportunities should be available for every Pakistani, adding unfortunately 2 crore 62 lakh children are deprived of education who can become valuable capital of the country and nation after getting education.
He said education should not become a business but every youth should get education through the same educational curriculum and institutions. Our rulers want relations with the neighboring country but their correct actions are not adopted, he deplored and added the neighboring country is far ahead of us in the IT Sector but we are facing other wrong government policies including internet shutdown.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman concluded, saying through the Bano Qabil program, 10 lakh youth of Pakistan will be enabled through courses in various fields including IT, so that instead of looking for a job, they will be able to give jobs to hundreds of youth. He said taking up voice for residents of Gaza is an obligation on us.
