Yousaf Raza Gilani extends greetings to the parliament, people & govt of Argentine Republic on the occasion of their Independence Day

ISLAMABAD, July 08 (SABAH): Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has extended greetings to the parliament, people and government of Argentine Republic on the occasion of their Independence Day being observed tomorrow (Tuesday).

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said both Pakistan and Argentina are intertwined in a bond of friendship based upon trust, mutual respect and similarities of opinion on various issues.

The Chairman Senate called for further expanding people to people contacts while boosting institutional cooperation in diverse sectors.

He observed that Pakistan and Argentina enjoy excellent cooperation at international levels and the need is to increase trade and business linkages for the benefit of the peoples of the two sides.

He extended his well wishes to the elected leadership of Argentina and hoped for continued high level of engagements to further consolidate bilateral ties.

Meanwhile Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani paid glowing tributes to the great humanitarian and philanthropist late Abdul Sattar Edhi on occasion of his 8th death anniversary.

He eulogized his services for humanity and said that Abdul Sattar Edhi was a great human being who worked for the destitute and the underprivillged. His services would long be remembered as he served the people without any discrimination.
