ISLAMABAD, July 16 (SABAH): Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that the nation should rise above all differences to maintain harmony, unity, and brotherhood in its ranks in accordance with golden principles of Islam and follow the path of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS).
In his message on Youm-e-Ashura to the nation, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said, “Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions (AS) are the perfect models in preaching and practicing the Qur’anic philosophy of patience, sacrifice and martyrdom. He added, “Their firm faith in Almighty Allah and the Day of Judgment, their exemplary sacrifice, dauntless courage, and unfailing patience in the way of Almighty Allah is an exhibition of the spirit of patience and martyrdom described in the Holy Qur’an.”
While denouncing the repression and suppression of innocent Palestinians and Kashmiris, the NA Speaker urged that being a Muslim it is our obligation that we stand up against the evil forces. He said that the martyrdom of more than forty thousand innocent civilians including innocent children and women in Palestine and the severe violation of human rights in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) demand unity to stand against this barbarity. He said that the best way to pay tributes to the martyrs of Karbala is to commit on this day to work and devote oneself to the unity of Muslim ummah to denounce this suppression.”
Meanwhile Deputy Speaker NA Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah has said that on this day of Ashura, the battle was fought between the forces of truth and falsehood, which would continue to teach Muslims a lesson of persistent struggle against oppression. He said that this is the path that the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) taught us to follow and his followers (RA) offered great sacrifices. “Yaum-e-Ashoor reminds us the lesson of allegiance to truth, firmness of belief, and being steadfast against tyranny” he added.
