Women Wing JI stands firmly in support of Palestine against Israeli aggression, say Durdana Siddiquee, Dr. Samia Raheel Qazi

LAHORE, Oct 10 (SABAH): Women Wing Jamaat-e-Islami condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the recent acts of aggression perpetrated by the Israeli forces against the people of Palestine.

In a joint statement issued by Secretary General Women Wing Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Durdana Siddiquee and Director Foreign Affairs Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing Dr. Samia Raheel Qazi said that we express our deep concern over the escalating violence in the region, particularly affecting innocent civilians, including women and children.

They said that we stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people during this challenging time. We vehemently oppose any form of violence, discrimination, or oppression that undermines the rights and dignity of the Palestinian population. It is our firm belief that dialogue, understanding, and peaceful coexistence are the only paths toward a just and lasting solution to the conflict, they said.

They said that as an organization committed to promoting peace, tolerance, and equality, Jamaat-e-Islami calls upon the international community to intervene and facilitate meaningful discussions between the parties involved. We urge world leaders to work towards a peaceful resolution that respects the rights, aspirations, and sovereignty of Palestinian people, they said.

Durdana Siddiquee and Dr. Samia Raheel Qazi said that we also call for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the protection of civilians, especially women and children, who are disproportionately affected by the ongoing conflict. Humanitarian aid must be allowed to reach those in need, and essential services must be restored to ensure the well-being of the affected populations, they said.

They said that in these trying times, the Women Wing Jamaat-e-Islami extends its heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims and reaffirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, justice, and equality in the region. We believe that through empathy, understanding, and mutual respect, a harmonious coexistence between all communities is not only possible but essential for a brighter, more peaceful future, they said.
