Women have basic role in development of Pakistan & a healthful society: Saba Saqib

LAHORE, Dec 10, (SABAH): Secretary General of Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Pakistan Saba Saqib has said that women have basic role in development of Pakistan and a healthful society. In the current period, responsibilities of women are increasing in terms of sponsorship of a family, she said.

She said that Alkhidmat Foundation is busy in service of humanity inside and outside the country along with enabling underprivileged women to get employments.

Saba Saqib expressed these views regarding distribution of sewing machines among the deserving women at Punjab Society Community Centre. In the ceremony, inchare community centres Uzma Muhammad Ali, centre supervisor Afshan Tahir and Aafia Sarwar participated.

Addressing the ceremony Afshan Tahir said the women among those sewing machines were distributed they could play their role in sponsoring their families while sitting at home.

Uzma Muhammad Ali said that along with distributing sewing machines among underprivileged girls and women, Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust is also providing facility of computer courses. She said other than aforementioned facilities, it is also sponsoring orphans and giving them education.

On the occasion, Aafia Sarwar said that thousands of women who got trainings they are paying their role not only in sponsoring their families but they are training their children and sisters and brothers in a better way.
