With 0.39% increase, inflation has risen to 13%: Sherry Rehman


ISLAMABAD, Feb 02 (SABAH): Parliamentary Leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Senate and Chairperson Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Sherry Rehman on Wednesday said that inflation is at highest level of two years and no end of this tsunami is in sight. She said that instead of inflation has reached at the highest level of two years the government is claiming that there is no inflation. 

Senator Sherry Rehman, in a tweet on Wednesday, said that with 0.39 percent increase, the inflation has risen to 13 percent meanwhile price of cooking oil has increased by 54.33 percent, pulses 41.3 percent and power tariff by 56 percent.

Petrol price has increased by Rs35 per liter and diesel by Rs30 in first seven months of the current fiscal year. Health sector also witnessed whopping inflation of 9.15 percent, she added. She said that in this situation how government could claim that there is no inflation.
