Will sternly resist if anyone tries to snatch public mandate of Karachi: Ameerul Azim


LAHORE, Jan 16 (SABAH): Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azin on Monday said it would be sternly resisted if anyone tried to snatch public mandate of Karachi. He said yesterday as well as at today this city belongs to Jamaat-e-Islami.

Ameerul Azim was addressing a demonstration took out in connection with the current state of inflation in the country at Multan Chungi in Lahore. He said delaying tactics in electoral outcomes was basically being done just to stop the Jamaat-e-Islami to come into power.

Mayor belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami would be elected from Karachi, he said and added this victory would be a ray of hope for all masses of the country. He said that they thank Almighty Allah over the outcomes of the polls received as yet and congratulated the leaders and workers belonging to Karachi.

He further said that those loyal to oppressive forces pushed the country to darkness, poverty and inflation and added bigotry, hatred, falsehood and corrupt politics would be eradicated out from the country. He added victory in the city after success in Gwadar was due to assistance of Almighty Allah and hard work put forth by the workers of the Jamaat-e-Islami.

God-willing they will send the corrupt rulers to their homes, Ameerul Azim said and added they will enforce Islamic System in the country. He said they wanted to make it clear upon the rulers and the policy-makers to not violate the public’s decision as the city was turning towards its essence. They who gave the gifts of inflation, poverty and ignorance to the masses; they would be wiped out in the coming elections.

Ameerul Azim further said that all the parties including Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were exposed in front of the masses, proving the corrupt troika was totally incompetent with no vision of solution of people problems. Neither the federal and provincial governments consisting of 15 parties could cut inflation nor could they improve economy of the country, he added.
