We will make no comprise on the freedom of Kashmir from Indian yoke: Sirajul Haq
ISLAMABAD, Dec 11 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Sirajul Haq has expressed resolve to keep the Kashmir case alive despite the fact the Pakistani rulers have completely forgotten the cause.
“We will make no comprise on the freedom of Kashmir from Indian yoke. Pakistani nation is standing with their Kashmir brethren in their struggle against Indian occupation,” Sirajul Haq said while addressing a gathering of the JI AJK chapter here on Saturday.
Sirajul Haq questioned the silence of government on Kashmir issue and also grilled the human rights champions and so-called western democracies for not condemning India on human rights abuses in the held valley.
The Pakistani nation, he said, would never forgive the rulers who betrayed Kashmiris at a critical moment. The Quaid-e-Azam, he said, had declared the Kashmir as jugular vein of Pakistan but the rulers never realized the importance of the saying of the founder of this country. The perpetual governments, he added, failed to fight for the rights of the people living under oppression for more than seven decades. He demanded the government devise action plan for the freedom of occupied Kashmir.
Sirajul Haq earlier addressed students of Jamia Taleemul Quran Islamabad and asked government to treat the teachers and students of madaris like those of studying in schools and colleges. He said the madaris were the ideological boundaries of Pakistan. He said the government should fix grants for religious seminaries in education budget. He said the JI had never opposed madaris reforms but it should be introduced after consultation with the true representatives of madaris.
Meanwhile, the “Balochistan Solidarity Day” will be observed across the country on the appeal of the JI chief Sirajul Haq today (Sunday). The rallies and demonstrations demanding government address issues of the residents of Gwadar and other areas will be held in all major cities. The JI chief will address the mass gathering in Peshawar.
