We want to make the country Islamic welfare state in real meanings: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, Nov 11 (SABAH): Acting Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch has said that elections will surely be held on 8th February, 2024, establishment should remain impartial. He said that in past power was ensured for the three parties, adding that during their rule country faced economic degradation. He said that still efforts are being made to impose one political party on the heads of the masses. He said that expertise and experience of elder brother did not benefit the younger brother for 16 months, adding that if these very people will be brought into power again then further destruction will come. He said that political forces also knock the door of the establishment for securing power, adding that they should approach the masses for the strengthening of the democracy.
This was stated by Liaqat Baloch while addressing the ceremony of families held in Model Town and in training workshop held at Mansoorah. Liaqat Baloch said that Karachi is facing many problems, adding that Pakistan People’s Party grabbed the position of Mayor Karachi while adopting undemocratic behavior, which did not bring honor for it rather it, bring disgrace for PPP. He said that during the election of Karachi mayor the attitude of Election Commission of Pakistan and establishment created doubts. He said that if the next general elections will be held in transparent manner then Jamaat-e-Islami will secure victory in Karachi. Liaqat Baloch said that our narrative is self-sufficiency, self-reliance and breaking the begging bowl; we want to make the country Islamic welfare state in real meanings. He said that founder of the JI Syed Abul A’la al-Maududi worked for unity of the Muslim Ummah and enforcement of the Islamic system in the country, adding that we are continuing his mission.
Liaqat Baloch said that JI will hold historic million march on 19th November in favor of the Palestinian people. He said that if Al-Quds Al-Sharif was not liberated then the next target of the Jewish state will be neighboring Islamic countries, adding that Gaza should have to be helped. He said that instead of doing only lip service the rulers of the Islamic countries should take practical steps.
