We strongly denounce Israeli bloody onslaught in Palestine: Farooq Rehmani
ISLAMABAD, August 08 (SABAH): “Palestine belongs to Palestinians, not to the Zionists usurpers, Al Qudus is our Qibla Awal where Masjid e Aqsa has the distinction of Meraj e Nabwey (SAWS)”, emphasised Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League and former Convener, All Parties Hurriyet Conference AJ&K/Pakistan, in a statement denouncing Israeli indiscriminate pounding of Gaza strip (under the Palestinian Independent Authority).
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that the Israeli forces pounded Gaza strip through the weekend, triggering long-range rocket attacks against its citizens, although the Hamas had so far stayed out. In these Zionist army attacks 43 Palestinians were reported to have been martyred, almost half of them civilians and children. “Who wants a war? No one. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that the only solution to the Palestinian question was in restoring sovereignty and independence of the sacred land of Palestine, as it existed before the British mandate during the 1st World War. “Islam respects the two other revealed religions equally and Arabs protected the worshipping places as they as Muslims have faith in the Prophet Ibrahim, Eesa ,Moses and others before them and their revealed sacred scriptures and when Jews were prosecuted and subjected to genocide by crusades and their rulers in the Palestine, it were Muslim conquerors, Arabs or Ottoman Sultans who gave them shelter and guarantees of free trade and practicing of their belief through out centuries of Islamic rule across the Mid East and Anatolia . “Therefore, he said the only solution is a sovereign and Independent Palestine with its capital at Jerusalem, he emphatically remarked. He elaborated that peace in SA and ME looked elusive as long as the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the Himalayan range and Palestinians in the Middle East were kept robbed of their statehood, citizenship, right of self-determination and freedom from oppression and military occupation and foreign imperialist intervention and maneuverings.
He reiterated that the United Nations in 1948 and onwards had adopted numerous resolutions to grant the right of self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to the Palestinian Arabs. But, the neo colonialists of Indian state in the sub continent and Zionists backed by US and Western powers Occupied the land of Palestine, divided and annexed by killing and looting the Palestinian Arabs and making the region a Hell for humanity and India with its mighty 900000 troops continues ethnic cleansing of the Kashmiris.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani urged on the UN to grant the right of self-determination and freedom to both– Kashmiris as well as Palestinians, so that the humanity breaths a sigh of relief and starts a new life of peace and progress in these turbulent regions.
