We should not forget sacrifices & hardships of the oppressed Muslims of Gaza on the occasion of Eid al-Adha: Dr. Humaira Tariq

LAHORE, June 16 (SABAH): Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing Pakistan Dr. Humaira Tariq has said that Eid al-Adha is a Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) that reminds us of the exemplary obedience and submission of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), which will remain a guiding light until the Day of Judgment. The true spirit of this obligation is not just the sacrifice of an animal, but the complete submission and surrender to Allah’s commands.

Dr. Humaira Tariq further said that Hazrat Hajra (AS) was an exemplary mother and a brave companion who raised Hazrat Ismail (AS) in the desert of Makkah in such a way that the entire Muslim Ummah pays tribute to her on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. She emphasized that mothers in the present era should follow the example of Hazrat Hajra (AS) and train their children in the same way.”

Dr. Humaira Tariq further said, “On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, let us not forget the sacrifices and hardships of the oppressed Muslims of Gaza. Let us pray for the liberation of Kashmir and Palestine. Let us also remember to share the meat of our sacrifices with the needy, poor, relatives, and neighbors around us.

The true message of Eid al-Adha is that Muslims should dedicate their lives to seeking Allah’s pleasure, following the example of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), enduring hardships with patience and courage for the sake of their faith, and striving to achieve the real spirit of sacrifice, which is to attain Taqwa (piety). Let us make a concerted effort to achieve this goal.”
