We have submitted no-confidence motion in NA while fulfilling aspirations of 220 million Pakistanis: Shahbaz
LAHORE, Mar 11 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said that we have submitted the no-confidence motion in the National Assembly (NA) while fulfilling the aspirations of the 220 million Pakistanis, adding that the members of all parties have signed the motion. He said that separate motion for summoning the session of the assembly has also been submitted, on which the Speaker NA is bound to call a session within 14 days according to law. Shehbaz Sharif said that we have not submitted the no-confidence motion to fulfill our own aspiration but has been submitted on the aspirations of the 220 million people.
While talking to the media persons after appearing before the accountability court in money laundering and Ramzan Sugar Mill cases, Shahbaz Sharif bashed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government while saying that millions of people are unable to afford food as inflation and unemployment are rising uncontrollably.
Shahbaz Sharif said that every day the petroleum and electricity commodities are rising everyday making people pray to get rid of this incompetent Prime Minister.
The opposition leader further said that the prices of basic edible commodities and medicine prices are increasing, it is unacceptable for the government to talk about “riasat-e-Madina” in these circumstances.
This selected PM does not have the capabilities to resolve the issues faced by the public and is causing irreparable damage to Pakistan, the PML-N president said.
The former Chief Minister Punjab also said that, “PM has come in power through rigged elections which is against the law, we will use legal means to send you packing, then what you have problem, why you are worried, this is our political and constitutional right”.
We are here to stay as we have been sent to jail before while Imran Niazi will be soon seen running, Shahbaz Sharif stated. Replying a question, he said that the joint opposition and Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will make decision about the name of the next prime minister candidate after the success of the no-confidence motion.
