We have options for staging long march, train march, sit-in federal capital: Naeemur Rehman warns
KARACHI, Sep 4 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that they have options for staging long march, train march and sit-in in the federal capital and their protest with representation of people from all walks of life will continue.
Addressing a press conference in the coastal city of Karachi here on Monday, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that complete shutter down strike was observed on September 2 where the masses showed their reaction over the exorbitant electricity bills.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi further said that people have initiated a vigorous movement and added some of the people tried to hinder strike of September 2. During the day, all the shops remained clos and a peaceful protest was observed, he added.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman warned that they would also stage protest at the head office of K-Electric. He noted all the parties form coalitions while the Jamaat-e-Islami is single-handed. He said that Pakistan is capable of producing electricity and continued “we are paying for 9000 MW of power which we are not using.” He warned the people that International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an institution which tend to occupy.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi warned that they would stage sit-in at the four governor houses and added they have an option for staging long march, train march and sit-in in the federal capital which would be participated by the people from all circles of life.
“We will it clear before the world that K-Electric is a biggest mafia and deplored that white collar criminals were threatening the Karachities therefore they would promote movement for cancellation of license of K-Electric,” he added. He said one half of the ministers of previous government were sitting abroad, i.e., Dubai, London and US and added they would again return to country to rule it.
