Uzbek delegation led Secretary Security Council Lt Gen Victor Makhmudov arrives in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, Nov 01 (SABAH): A five-member delegation, led by Secretary of the Security Council of Uzbekistan Lt Gen Victor Makhmudov, arrived in Islamabad on Monday on a three-day visit to Pakistan.
Lt Gen Makhmudov will also call on the Prime Minister and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
During the visit, the two sides will sign an important protocol on Joint Security Commission between Pakistan and Uzbekistan and hold the inaugural session of the Joint Security Commission formed under the protocol.
The Uzbek delegation will also visit Torkham border where they will be briefed by relevant authorities.
Receiving cargo trucks from Uzbekistan through Afghanistan as part of the Pakistan-Uzbekistan connectivity initiative by the visiting delegation is also being envisaged during the visit.
