LAHORE, Jan 08 (SABAH): The book comprising of memoirs of senior journalist and famous monthly Urdu Digest Magazine Editor-in-Chief Altaf Hassan Qureshi titled “Mashraqi Pakistan Toota Hua Tara” has been published. The book has been published by prominent publishing institution “Qalam Foundation”.

The book comprising of 1408 pages has been published under the supervision of Qalam Foundation Chairman Allama Abdul Sattar Asim and Muhammad Farooq Chohan and is available in the market.

Altaf Hassan Qureshi had opportunity to visit East Pakistan several times prior to the Fall of Dhaka, instead he intentionally continued visiting East Pakistan and used to stay there for weeks and had opportunity to see and observe closely the important incidents and happenings. It took over 50 years to write this book of the senior journalist. This is the story of the politicians influenced by ethnicity who played heinous role to break the country into two parts for their lust of power. Many faces and important secrets have been exposed in this book. The book is in memory of the Bangalis and non-Bengalis who while realizing the heinous designs of the enemy, supported their brave army and while sacrificing their lives refused to stand in the list of the traitors.

Altaf Hassan Qureshi faced many difficulties to report these bitter realities but not budge to report the reality. In this uncommitted crime he had to face threats of martial law authorities and also had to face imprisonment and he faced two years imprisonment.
