Upon seeing thin attendance in Rawalpindi gathering, Imran Khan immediately decided to resign from assemblies: Rana Sanaullah
ISLAMABAD, Nov 27 (SABAH): Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan could only manage to bring around 15,000 to 18,000 people in Rawalpindi public gathering, had they not governments at Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as then they could not have brought even eight hundred people.
Rana Sanaullah Khan expressed these views during in an interview with a private TV channel. He further challenged the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold even such a political gathering if he quits governments of the both provinces besides he will come to know the true meanings of the opposition.
He said that upon seeing thin attendance in political gathering at the garrison city of Rawalpindi, Imran Khan immediately decided to resign from assemblies and added now he has to consult with parliamentary parties and chief ministers on the matter. He said it would have been better for the country if the PTI reaches at the decision of breaking assemblies as in this way infliction of Imran Khan will be gotten rid of.
The minister said that if the National Assembly had to be dissolved it would have been done eight months ago but it didn’t happen. “According to my information, Sindh and Balochistan assemblies will not be dissolved hence the no-confidence motions will be tabled in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies. KPK assembly could not be dissolved because of no-confidence motion so bye-elections will be held,” he added.
He further said if Imran Khan would have held a power show containing 0.5 million or 1 million people even then the establishment and Rawalpindi couldn’t help him securing the election date. He said the politicians were supposed to decide whether elections will be held early or on time. “I’m 10 times eyewitnesses the fact when politicians sat together the deadlocks got broken or changed. People need to minus Imran Khan from the system while identifying his true face.
Rana Sanaullah said, “We feel anger of the people. We took tough decisions to reverse the situation created by former PM during his previous stint spanning over three years. We hope to give relief to masses in the coming four to six months. We will be successful in removing worries of the masses.” Rana Sanaullah said he did not rule out the return of former prime minister and PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to country, adding that Nawaz Sharif should return back and lead the PML-N election campaign, adding that we will easily win the next election against Imran Khan.
