LEEPA, Nov 20 (SABAH): Institute of Multi-Track Dialogue, Development & Diplomatic Studies, in collaboration with the Degree college, organised the Youth moot titled: Kashmir dispute: The role of the future generations- A way forward in Iqbal Hall Leepa. Students from all walks of life attended the seminar. Students showed enthusiasm for understanding the Kashmir dispute’s local, regional, and international dimensions and gave input during the question-and-answer session. These seminars are part of a series of awareness campaigns to keep the coming genration aware of the regional and international decisions in changing world order and the changes in the region, particularly the repercussions of the unilateral actions by India to change the legal and demographic posture of the Kashmir dispute.

During the day-long seminar, the Principal of the College, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Malik, opened the moot and said that the Leep Valley masses had made huge sacrifices having the sole attachment to the Kashmir cause. The Leepa had faced the havoc caused by the Indin forces. However, the masses of the people’s resilience have proved time and again that we stand with our brothers in India, illegally occupied part of Kashmir in all circumstances. He emphasised that we were living in the Hi-Tec era and youth is our asset, proving that he would be at par with other strengths despite living in the far-flung areas. The true contribution of the Yoth is to show his strength by ticking with Knowledge, which is true power; however, when the enemy imposes anything, he is the frontline soldier who defends every inch of the nation.

Professor Malik Musthatq said that despite the meagre resources and the harsh conditions, our young generation is vigilant and witty and knows the significance of Unity and the power of knowledge, and our students are doing their best.

Professor Arshad Naseen shed light on the contribution of the great people of the Leepa and Azad Kashmir. He emphasised that the younger generation routes education to flourishing, exceeding, and working hard to excel.

Professor Amjaid Waseem peeped from the past and said, The Younger generations have better opportunities and the apparatus to prove their worth. Rafiq Ul Haq emphasised that nation-building demands wisdom, and this comes from educational institutions.

The Keynote speaker, Dr. Waleed Rasool, said that the strength of the people was Unity when Pakistan took birth from the womb of colonialism. Our only identity was Pakistan, so our elders triumphed to carve Pakistan, and it is now the strongest state among the top seven powers of the world. The state is a unit of analysis globally. Therefore, Pakistan as the state is the hope of the Kashmir cause. This hope shall prevail, and the antagonists shall be resisted with optimism because crests and troughs are the route part of the struggle. He stated that it is not the speed which matters but the direction. Quantity will remain from the enemy side. We need quality to sustain and succeed. The true role of the Youth is to keep vigil if anyone is dividing us is not our friend but foe. The youth is the driver of the future, so he must keep both eyes and ears open to smell what is going on. The Youth is a driver to push unity to the next level. The moot concluded on the interactive dialogue question and answer session.
