Under ‘Tameer-i-Wattan Programme’ of Alkhidmat Foundation, 30 more houses handed over to flood affectees after completion of construction
LAHORE, Feb 25 (SABAH): Under the “Tameer-i-Wattan Programme” of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, 30 more houses were handed over to the flood affectees after completion of construction. The project of rehabilitation and construction of 5,000 houses for the flood affectees under the “Tameer-i-Wattan Programme” of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan with the cost of Rs 900 million is successfully continuing. In this regard 30 more houses were handed over to the flood affectees after reconstruction in Shafiabad area of Nawabshah. On the other hand, so far over 1,000 houses have been handed over to the flood affectees after completion of rehabilitation and reconstruction.
President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman has said that Alkhidmat Foundation is fully resolved for provision of human services and will continue these services till complete rehabilitation of the flood affectees. He said that under the “Tameer-i-Wattan Programme” of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, money is being provided to homeless flood affectess in different phases for the purchase of the construction material including (GI Sheets, Iron, T Garder, blocks and bricks) in South Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that the money is being deposited in the bank accounts for provision of assistance in rehabilitation and reconstruction of houses, reporting, monitoring and audit and if the accounts were not available then the opening of the accounts were also arranged.
President Alkhidmat Foundation Sindh Dr. Syed Tabassum Jafri on the occasion said that after conducting survey in the affected areas, the widow women, disabled persons, laborers and small farmers were included on the priority basis for rehabilitation and reconstruction of houses. He said that serving the masses is the manifesto of Alkhidmat Foundation and our team is making all out efforts day and night for this pious virtue.
