Two separate road accidents claim seven lives, injure another 11 persons in AJK


MUZAFFARABAD, Nov 27, (SABAH): Seven persons were killed and 11 others injured in result of two separate road accidents at Dudhnial area o Neelum Valley and Naugran area of Hatian Bala in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

Six women died and eight others were injured in a road accident in the district Neelum Valley of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

According to police, a vehicle carrying female voters skidded off the road and plunged into a deep ravine at Chari More while negotiating a sharp turn. After the accident polling was stopped at polling station numbers 7 and 8 of Dudhnial. Six women killed in the accident belong to the same family. The injured including the driver was referred to CMH Muzaffarabad.

Meanwhile the vehicle of the voters, who came from Karachi to cast vote in Hatian Bala, fell in deep ravine after facing accident near Aliot Dhaga on Murree Kashmir road.  One person was killed in the result of the accident on the spot and three other were injured. The rescue 1122 officials reached on the spot and shifted the injured persons to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Murree for treatment.

Muhammad Akram son of Shahnawaz killed on the spot; meanwhile Ijaz Ahmed son of Muhammad Aslam, Majid Khan son of Ghulam Hussain and Zarveed Khan son of Muhammad Fareed were injured in the result of the accident. The funeral prayers of the killed person were offered in Naugran area, which was attended by a large number of people belonging to different walks of life. Later on he was laid to rest.
