Two nuclear countries could not afford war: PM Shehbaz
LAHORE, May 08 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that in no way Kashmiris will be got disappointed, adding that our stance on Kashmir is the same which is of Pakistani nation and Kashmiris. He said that Kashmiris should be given right to self-determination according to the resolutions of the United Nations, adding that two nuclear countries could not afford war. PM Shehbaz Sharif said that we want to live with India as a good neighbor but could not move forward without resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
This was stated by PM Shehbaz Sharif while talking to the central office bearers of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) during meeting at his residence in Model Town Lahore. On the occasion, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, Secretary Information Shaheera Shahid and Principal Information Officer (PIO) Mubashar Hassan were also present.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Imran Niazi badly harmed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, adding that Imran Khan got forensic audit of the CPEC projects due to which Chinese have severely annoyed. Shehbaz Sharif questioned whether any irregularity of ours was found in CPEC during the three years and nine months? He said that Chinese are relentless to see work moving forward on CPEC, adding that CPEC is a game changer project and work will be completed on this project with fast pace.
He said that no illegal or undemocratic act has taken place in country due to which march should be carried out, adding that if someone will break the law then the law will take its own course. Shehbaz Sharif said that we will have to make the whole country one nation.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the action will be taken against the FIA officials who filed appeal in Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding PECA Ordinance without the permission of government. Prime minister directed Law Minister Senator Chaudhry Azam Nazir Tarar Advocate to immediately review the PECA Ordinance and clauses against the freedom of expression should immediately be removed.
Shehbaz Sharif said that in result of the implementation of UN resolutions on Kashmir, Pakistan and India could live like good neighbors, adding that Pakistan economic prosperity and strength will lure Kashmiris towards us, adding that if we will be strong then no one could dictate us. Shehbaz Sharif said that still he is stick to his statement of beggars can not be choosers, adding that until and unless we will become strong, Kashmir dispute can not be resolved.
Shehbaz Sharif said that detailed meeting has been held with the bureaucrats, adding that bureaucrats are under severe pressure in presence of NAB and they are of the view that they can not work in presence of NAB. Shehbaz Sharif said that he has taken notice of the notice issued to journalist Sami Ibrahim.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the previous government has clutched the country into debts and during the three years and nine month the loans of the country have become doubled, adding that in Pakistan the country made progress but during the last four years the country could not make any progress. He said that the treatment of the poor was free but the previous government ended this. He said that Pakistan is facing worst kind of economic deficit of the history of country.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan installed the landmine while freezing the oil prices in March for the next government, adding that we want to give relief to masses but due to the increasing oil prices at international level have become the chain of our feet. Shehbaz Sharif said that Saudi Arabia and UAE have given great respect to us, adding that we have made request for help and now they will have to decide.
Shehbaz Sharif said that we will have to more forward while taking along the institutions and will move forward with their consultation, adding that the dignified ways are present and if nation wants to make progress then we will have to work hard, adding that due to this he has ended the holiday of Saturday.
While replying a question, Shehbaz Sharif said that we could only break the begging bowl through hard work, adding that the whole nation will have to change its habit and will have to work hard. He said that what is justification of long march and sit-in of PTI? Whether we have secured loans of 2.5 trillion loans? Whether we first exported sugar and then imported it? He said that the wheat was also used to be sold in black during the tenure of previous government.
