Tribesmen know how to snatch their rights if kept deprived of their rights: Sirajul Haq
PESHAWAR, Feb 22 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that tribesmen know how to snatch their rights if they were kept deprived of their rights. He said if the government did not implement the Constitution it will create numerous Bangladesh like countries.
Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing the Haqooq Qabail Conference at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar on Wednesday. He further said if nuclear bombs could not protect Russia then it can also not safeguard any other country of the world and added law and justice system causes development of the nations.
Today, he said the candles of law and justice have been put off and masses were not receiving justice from the Supreme Court and high courts. “We demand of the government to deliver justice to the masses by implementing Constitution. People must be given their due rights. We are not migrants in this country. We know how to defend our rights,” he added.
“All the notables who have come to Peshawar demand of the government to protect the lives and properties of the masses,” he said. He added the government has completely failed in protecting lives and properties of the masses, saying it was responsibility of prime minister and army to give protection to the masses.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq said that poor tribesmen had been left at the mercy of circumstances which was very deplorable and added it did not seem reasonable that just a small number of terrorists was creating disharmony and terrorism in the country while the State alongside government couldn’t tackle it.
It is first duty of the Army Chief, President of Pakistan and Prime Minister to make Pakistan peaceful by fulfilling the promises with the masses due to which they accepted the country, Sirajul Haq said.
He added if PM Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif could not restore peace he must go home after presenting his resignation.
He deplored the chief minister and ministers of previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) used to take extortions and added they themselves gave money just to save their own skin, leaving the people at the mercy of circumstances.
Sirajul Haq said despite the court orders missing persons were not still recovered, saying the government was careless about this matter. Some government employees were made ministers in the interim government, he noted. There is poor state of employment in the tribal areas where there is no factory, medical college or university, he added.
