Transparent elections according to constitution will be held in 2023: Khawaja Asif
SIALKOT, July 03 (SABAH): Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that transparent elections according to constitution will be held in 2023. He said that Hamza Shahbaz Sharif was chief minister Punjab, is chief minister Punjab and will remain chief minister with the blessings of Almighty Allah. He said that PML-N will win 17th July bye-elections with majority.
This was stated by Khawaja Muhammad Asif while addressing a ceremony and later on talking to media persons on Sunday in Sialkot. Khawaja Asif said that any person who is not loyal with his blood how he could be loyal to any land or soil, or how he could be loyal to any institution which provided him support and provided crutches during last four years, adding that we were supporters of rule according to law and constitution and even today are supporter of this. Khawaja Asif said that if the institutions want to remain limited to their constitutional boundaries, Imran Khan again inviting them today and if they are not agreed then he is carrying out mudslinging against them and also talks about division in them. He said that such period has been started in the country in which only there will be rule of law and constitution.
He said that transparent elections according to constitution will be held in 2023. He said that Imran Khan is not ready to accept the Election Commission of Pakistan, which is making decisions independently. He said that whatever has been done with Sialkot during the last four years he will not go into details as people are well aware about it, adding that not a single brick was installed in the whole city. He said that for Imran Khan only one definition of institutions is right if the institutions support him then they are right and if they did not support him then they are wrong. He said that now this will not happen, adding that we respect all institutions and will defend our own institution parliament and other institutions and will foil any effort of Imran Khan to create division among the institutions, being made by him on the directions of enemy present outside the borders of Pakistan.
Khawaja Asif said that Imran Khan wants to weaken nuclear Pakistan from inside and its institutions should be weakened and he could again come in power while benefiting from unrest but Almighty Allah and Pakistani nation will close all doors for him.
Replying a question, Khawaja Asif said that Imran Khan could not return back to Islamabad until and unless he secured the bail before arrest, adding that no one is more coward to him. He said that the person who crushes his opponents while using the state institutions no person is more coward to him. He said that the noose of the law is tightening against Imran Khan, adding that inquiries are going on against Imran Khan and he will be apprehended strongly. He said that Imran Khan boasts outside and seeks mercy inside. He said that if we are on bail then Imran Khan is also on bail, adding that inflation has not occurred in three months as we have inherited inflation. He said that Imran Khan had brought the flood of inflation and we are trying to stop it. Khawaja Asif said that we acknowledge that inflation has been increased but with the blessings of Almighty Allah the situation will change soon. Khawaja Asif said that we were afraid 15 or 20 days ago that Pakistan will be defaulted and we have to face Sri Lanka like situation but this phase has passed and now remaining phases will also pass and situation will be improved. He said that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will return back.
