Training workshop held for staff of Aghosh Homes under Alkhidmat Foundation
LAHORE, Aug 15 (SABAH): A training workshop was held for the staff of Aghosh Homes under Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. Motif behind holding this work shop was imparting training to the staff so that they could improve the system of their respective Centres.
On the occasion of training workshop, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Vice President Air Marshal (retd) Farooq Habib and National Director Aghosh Homes Air Marshal (retd) Arshad Malik, Central Program Manager Aghosh Homes Sheikh Ahsan Fareed, principals of Aghosh Homes from across the country, administrators and wardens were present.
Addressing the participants, Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman stated that they are the guardians of orphans that is why their training lies in their obligations. “We have to train these children in such a way that they could achieve something from here,” President Alkhidmat Foundation remarked.
Sharing details about Aghosh Homes, he stated in view of large number of orphans after devastative earthquake of 2005, Alkhidmat Foundation established first Aghosh Home in Attock. “Afterwards a number of Aghosh Homes were established. At present, 22 Aghosh Homes were providing their services across the country while seven were under construction. More than 1800 children are being sponsored in these Aghosh Homes,” he added.
Air Marshal (retd) Farooq Habib stated that orphans are provided facilities of residence, meal, education, training, library, playground, mosque and health at Aghosh Home. Talking about the training workshop, he stated training of staff is required for training the children so that they could bring improvement in training system.
