Tragic tragedy of Karbala is a common asset of whole Muslim Ummah & a lesson to stand with truth in the face of falsehood: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, August 07 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Secretary General Milli Yakjehti Council Liaqat Baloch, while addressing the Shia Sunni participants in the Majlis Shahadat Hussain, on the 7th of Muharram, on the invitation of Dargah Hazrat Mian Mir Sajjada Nashin Pir Syed Haroon Gillani, said that the martyrdom of Hazrat Hussain (RA) and the tragic tragedy of Karbala is a common asset of whole Muslim Ummah and a lesson to stand with truth in the face of falsehood. “It is an indisputable fact that those who sacrifice lives and give pure blood in the cause of truth change history and defeat the ambitions of false forces” he noted.
The Naib Emir JI added that when Imam Hussain (RA) was trampling on the illegitimate power of Yazid and the violation of Islamic reforms and the standard of state and leadership of the Caliphate, then the family of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had to come forward to raise the flag of the truth under the leadership of Imam Hussain (RA). “The family of the Last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has set an eternal example to rise up against the powerful and rigid government of the false system and to protect the foundations of Islam by giving all kinds of suffering and sacrifices.
Liaqat Baloch added that, “under the leadership of Yazid, the basic direction of Islam was changed, the Islamic principles of trust and caliphate were changed, domination of proud incompetent people as well as injustice and immorality became common; whereas, accountability, expression of opinion and freedom of choice were abolished. Personal dictatorship was established instead of the rule of law”. Besides, Imam Hussain (RA) gave the principle to the Islamic Ummah that irrespective of the circumstances the truth should be supported.
Liaqat Baloch added that the shadows of the Yazidi system are getting deeper in the present age where constitution, law and justice system is violated and people’s right to choose has been taken away. He added that bribery, corruption and the scourge of drunkenness are common. “Owing to the incompetent character of Muslim rulers, global colonialism has turned powerful and Muslims of Kashmir, Palestine, Syria, Yemen and Burma are deprived of their right to freedom”, he noted. The Naib Emir JI highlighted that the present age was in search of a leader like Hazrat Hussain (RA) and that the solution to the crises was the supremacy of religion, unity of the Ummah and fair distribution of economic resources.
Liaqat Baloch said that Shia-Sunni scholars have foiled the violence created in the month of Muharram in Gilgit and that in order to maintain peace in the days leading up to Ashura, the religious groups of all sects would work with the spirit of unity and faith to protect religious commonalities and sanctities.
