Toshakhana report exposed the loot & plunder of leaders of ruling parties: Sirajul Haq

BAHAWALNAGAR, Mar 20 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Sirajul Haq has said that the Toshakhana report exposed the loot and plunder of the leaders of the ruling parties.

It had been proved, Sirajul Haq said while addressing the workers’ convention on Monday, the PDM, the PPP and the PTI specialized in corruption. The ruling troika, he said, gave cover to the corruption of each other. Citing the example of Imran Khan, he said the former prime minister made a politician part of the party whom the PTI chairman had declared as the biggest daku (most corrupt person) of Punjab. Similarly, he added, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had made public speeches to drag the PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari onto the streets for the latter’s corruption, but they both joined hands for power. The enemies of yesterday became sister and brother for self-interests, he said, referring to PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The three parties, he said, befooled the people for years, and now they were all exposed badly.

Sirajul Haq held the troika equally responsible for prevailing political and economic crises. If the PTI destroyed the economy in three and half years, the government of the 14 parties added fuel to the fire in the past 11 months, he said. They were all visionless and lacked the ability to govern the country and fix the problems, he said. Pakistan needs honest and dedicated leadership and overhauling the entire system, he said, adding the welfare of the common man was impossible in the current corrupt system.

The country, Sirajul Haq said, presented a gloomy picture of affairs as its judiciary and establishment were divided in favour of the PTI and the PDM, while the Election Commission of Pakistan also became controversial. He said the courts made decisions considering the status and power of a man while the innocent and common man was sent to the bars for minor mistakes. He appealed to the people to vote for the JI to bring real change and to get real freedom.
