Torchbearers of Hindutva are very disappointed on defeat in Karnataka: Syed Salahuddin

MUZAFFARABAD, May 27 (SABAH): Torchbearers of Hindutva were very disappointed after defeat in Karnataka. Lives of Kashmiris were being played with for a success of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the coming elections as well as to refrain from after effects of this defeat.

These views were expressed by Chief of the Hizbul Mujahideen and Chairman United Jihad Council (UJC) Syed Salahuddin Ahmed during a special meeting of MJC held in his chairmanship here on Saturday.

During the meeting, it was said that notorious investigation institution of India NIA resorted to Delhi High Court for givING death sentence to Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Muhammad Yasin Malik.

It is worth mentioning here that a court of Delhi on May 25 last year had announced life imprisonment for Muhammad Yasin Malik.

In the meeting, it was said the way Muhammad Afzal Guru was hanged on the aspirations of Hindutva followers on February 2013 whereas Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai was martyred by inflicting inhuman acts against him, the same way is going to be followed today which is a condemnable act.

The meeting also expressed concerns over the threats to lives of imprisoned Kashmiri leaders including Musarrat Ahmed Butt, Shabir Ahmed Shah, Pir Saifullah, Ayaz Akbar, Dr Asia, Dr Qasim and others.

The meeting also expressed concerns over the silence of human rights organisations and institutions and urged them to play their role in thwarting human rights violations.

State of Jammu and Kashmir was declared a controversial state by the United Nations and until and unless its status gets clear, it will remain as it. Struggle of Kashmiri masses is constitutional and legal in nature as it is in the light of charter of UN.
