Time has come to ‘right the wrongs’ inflicted on Nawaz Sharif & Maryam Nawaz: Shehbaz 

 ISLAMABAD, Nov 22 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday reacted to the alleged audio clip of former chief justice of Pakistan Justice (retd) Mian Saqib Nisar, saying that the time has come to “right the wrongs” inflicted on ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz. 

An alleged audio leak started doing the rounds on the internet Sunday night, in which then-chief justice Saqib Nisar can be heard allegedly telling another person that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will have to be punished to make space for Imran Khan in politics.  

Justice (retd) Saqib Nisar had refused to accept that it was his voice and termed it fabricated. “The audio clip is being falsely associated with me,” he had said.

In a tweet on Monday, Shahbaz Sharif said former chief justice of Pakistan, Justice (retired) Saqib Nisar’s leaked audio tape had showed Maryam Nawaz and her father were “targeted as part of a grand scheme to keep them out of [the] political process.”

Urging concerned authorities to take notice of the audio clip, the PML-N leader said, ”The nation looks forward to the justice system.” “Time has come to right the wrongs inflicted on them,” he added.

“The emergence of a new audio clip of former Chief Justice shows how Nawaz Sharif & Maryam Nawaz were targeted as part of a grand scheme to keep them out of political process. Time has come to right the wrongs inflicted on them. The nation looks forward to justice system” Shehbaz Sharif tweeted.

Meanwhile PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said US forensic company has confirmed that the voice in leaked tape is of Saqib Nisar, truth had to be revealed one day.

League leader Marriyum Aurangzeb tweeted on the social networking website, “Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz sentence has ended on every scale of justice, US Company scientifically identified the voice, US Company confirmed that voice is of Saqib Nisar. Saqib Nisar’s deeds are prominent now. Hiding sins with an excuse is a bigger sin.”

She claimed that Shahbaz Gill confirmed Saqib Nisar’s leaked tape was fabricated but he is habitual of apologizing after giving false news in the first place.

“If you want to talk about audio video then first of all talk about Qayyum Malik. The way Muslim League N was blamed and shamed in Qatari letter, same thing will happen again,” she remarked.
