Three-day long training workshop organized for volunteers under the Disaster Management Porgram of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan

LAHORE, May 06 (SABAH): Three-day long training workshop was organized for the volunteers under the Disaster Management Porgram of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan at the Alkhidmat Complex in Lahore.

The purpose of the workshop was to impart awareness among the volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation to acquaintance them for using the latest methods of provision of rescue and relief to the people facing difficulty and also impart training to the volunteers for use of the helping gadgets.

Three-day long workshop was attended by Secretary General Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Waqas Jafri, National Director Disaster Management Porgram Fazal Mahmood, Program Manager Asif Jamal, rescue trainers and a large number of volunteers belonging to the volunteer program. The training was provided to the volunteers regarding provision of first aid, dead body management, incident command system, fire emergences, water emergencies, family security and other methods of rescue during the training workshop.

While talking at the end of the workshop Syed Waqas Jafri said that disaster management is the identity of the Alkhidmat Foundation. He said that volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation remained at the forefront for the help of brothers and sisters during any untoward incident or natural calamity in Pakistan. He said that to stop natural calamities from occurring is not in the reach of any human but through proper training and while adopting precautionary measures the intensity and losses could be decreased.      

Syed Waqas Jafri said that Alkhidamt volunteers have been imparted complete training of rescue and relief so that during any untoward situation the precious lives could be protected while providing timely help.

National Director Disaster Management Porgram Fazal Mahmood informed that it is need of the hour to organize such kind of training workshops for the volunteers and boys and girl students. He said that so far five training sessions have been held by Alkhidmat Foundation for the volunteers during the current year. He said that over 200 boys and girl students have been trained, adding that Alkhidmat Foundation resolves to train 100,000 people. The certificates were also distributed among the participants at the end of the workshop.
