Three-day long free eye camp organized with the cooperation of Alkhidamt Foundation & Shaheed Saifur Rehman Hospital Gilgit
LAHORE, July 27 (SABAH): Three-day long free eye camp was organized with the cooperation of Alkhidamt Foundation and Shaheed Saifur Rehman Hospital Gilgit. Free of cost check up and surgeries of over 300 patients were conducted in the free eye camp. In surgeries 21 cornea transplant and oculoplastic surgery were carried out.
During the eye camp duties were performed by Professor Dr. Mir Ali Shah of Peshawar Medical College and Dr. Muhammad Idrees of Lady Reading Hospital.
On the occasion Chairman Alkhidmat Health Foundation Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif thanked Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America (APPNA) and Peshawar Medical College for cooperating in pious deed. He said that we are doing all this work for the welfare of the people and for securing the Blessings of Almighty Allah. Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif further informed that 45 hospitals, 60 medical centers, 110 laboratories and collection centers, 46 pharmacies and 305 ambulances are working under Alkhidmat Foundation in whole country, adding that our full team is working day and night for this purpose.
On the occasion Professor Dr. Mir Ali Shah said that human services of the Alkhidmat Foundation are worth following and we are ready to assist in moving forward these services at every level.
