Those who used to stage march against inflation have become totally silent after coming into power: Sirajul Haq
LAHORE, July 12 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq has said that those who used to stage march against inflation have become totally silent after coming into power and termed the rulers burden on the country.
Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing a sit-in of employees outside Punjab Civil Secretariat here on Wednesday. He further said that rulers and bureaucracy of country under debt were residing in palaces spreading over acres like Mughal monarchs.
He said that marginalized segments of Pakistan were rendering all sacrifices while the rulers eat away all the resources, adding such people escape from the country in all testing times.
“There are no funds for enhancing salaries of the government employees while all the resources are available for the rulers and their offspring,” Sirajul Haq deplored.
System of cruelty will not be allowed to run, emir Jamaat-e-Islami noted and added that they would standby 1,100,000 employees of Punjab. He said their protest was ended by force and added if their demands were not met, they would force rulers to provide them their rights.
The employees enthusiastically welcomed emir Jamaat-e-Islami and raised slogans in favour of their rights. A large number of employees from different districts of Punjab participated in the protest.
Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) did not fulfill even a single promise made with the masses after coming into power and added the current government is a continuity of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami maintained that if the tested rulers remain in power for one year or hundred years, the country could not make progress and development in their presence as they were in favour of betterment of the people.
