We are coming to Islamabad to take people’s rights on July 26: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman

LAHORE, July 22 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while addressing the Islamabad Bar Association said that they are coming to Islamabad to take their rights on July 26.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said they will stage a sit-in and will not leave the place without taking the rights of the people. He said Pakistan does not need any re-election at this time so they will not support any such move. He said democracy is only in the method of election of Jamaat-e-Islami and lawyers, adding political parties do not conduct elections within themselves while they talk about democracy. He said the situation is that those who lost in the general election were given victory, adding a government with a fake mandate was installed on our heads.

He said, “We say, O tyrants, think about something and be ashamed of those who come from the people’s way, let him come to power, don’t rob the power, the country has already gone too far, the government of form 47 should not be made and government of form 45 should be formed. Governments also avoid student union and municipal elections, it has been 40 years since there is no student union in Pakistan. Students are a major political force, governments have treated them badly. The power of students in Bangladesh has shaken the government, the rulers have become helpless in the face of their power. We believe in peaceful political resistance.”

They will take the path of democratic constitutional struggle for the rights of the people. Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Mian Aslam, Emir Punjab North Dr. Tariq Saleem, Emir Islamabad Nasrullah Randhawa and others were also present on the occasion. Earlier, Bar President Raja Shakeel Abbasi, Bar Secretary Hasan Javed Shorish along with other lawyers leaders welcomed the emir Jamaat-e-Islami. A large number of lawyers were present on this occasion.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said, “If you accept the theft in the election, form the government of Form 45. Jamaat-e-Islami has a clear position that the government should be formed on the basis of Form 45. In a democratic state, the right to rule belongs only to the people. He said that in the current situation, the representative bar councils of lawyers should not be divided on the basis of political parties, the imposed governance in the country has failed, the situation should be prevented from getting out of control, the people should be given their right.”
