ISLAMABAD, June 04 (SABAH): Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar says the government will announce a pro-investment, people welfare-oriented, and business-friendly budget for the next financial year.

Talking to a private news channel, Ishaq Dar said the government will provide as much relief to the public as possible. The Minister the government was introducing long-term policies aimed at sustainable economic growth in the country and achieving the economic targets.

Criticized those who were announcing dates for default, Ishaq Dar said there were serious challenges the country had been facing, however, the government had rescued it from default.

Meanwhile, a joint delegation of Pakistan Stock Exchange and Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan called on Finance Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

Talking to them, the Finance Minister said PSX was at one time one of the best performing stock markets.

He assured the group that their concerns would be addressed and measures would be taken to encourage investment in Pakistan.

He hoped that PSX would reverse the trend and once again become one of the top performing stock markets in the region.
