There is no worth of elections held in J&K: Muzamil Ayub Thakur

LONDON, Sep 19 (SABAH): The head of World Kashmir Freedom Movement Muzamil Ayub Thakur has said that there is no worth of the elections held in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, adding that no electoral process in Jammu and Kashmir could substitute the resolutions of the United Nations.

While giving an interview to Turkish TV “TRT”, Muzamil Ayub Thakur said that the BJP government of India wants to conduct these elections in the shadow of hundreds and thousands of Indian soldiers, adding that the Kashmiris have no interest in these elections. He said that BJP is trying to make an assembly in Kashmir in which no local party PDP, National Conference etc. has a clear majority so that BJP gets a chance to work.

He said that the Indian government is changing the demography of Jammu and Kashmir and efforts are being made to end the majority character of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that whole Kashmiri leadership has been imprisoned by India, Asiya Andrabi, Musarrat Alam Butt, Shabir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik along with a large number of Kashmiris are present in Indian jails.

Muzamil Ayub Thakur said that Engineer Rashid, who was released from jail, is playing the role of BJP’s B-team. Muzamil Ayub Thakur said that the Indian government has lodged baseless cases against him, there are restricts of traveling on me, my family is facing difficulties in Jammu and Kashmir, my uncle has been martyred.
