There is no threat of Pakistan’s default: Ishaq Dar

LAHORE, Jan 14 (SABAH): Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar says government’s economic team, under Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, is making tireless efforts to improve the economy.

He expressed these views while talking to Governor Punjab Engineer Mian Muhammad Balighur Rehman in Lahore on Saturday.

The Finance Minister expressed hope that economy will improve further in the coming days. He said that such economic challenges were never faced by the country in whole history; however there is no threat of Pakistan’s default, adding that this will remain the dream of only few critics.

During the meeting, overall country’s economic and political situation also came under discussion. The governor congratulated the finance minister on successful foreign visits and appreciated his efforts for the betterment of the economy.

Mian Balighur Rehman said that the way the whole world has announced the relief package for the Pakistani people is expression of the confidence on the transparency of the current government.
