There is no need for new elections in the country, only govt should be formed according to Form 45: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman

LAHORE, May 23 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that there is no need for new elections in the country, only the government should be formed according to Form 45.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing a press conference in Mansoorah on Thursday. On this occasion, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Secretary General Ameerul Azim, Deputy Emir Osama Razi and Central Information Secretary Qaisar Sharif were also present. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that defamation bill brought in Punjab is a conspiracy to ban the media, which is rejected.

He said the preparation of the budget is going on and in this budget, the people are burdened by the dictates of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). If Form 45 is implemented, the problem of more than 50% seats will be solved.

There is an IPP which did not generate even one megawatt of electricity but earned a profit of Rs 28 billion. The government is getting rid of educational institutions and handing over government educational institutions to businessmen in the name of government public partnership which Jamaat-e-Islami will not allow to succeed under any circumstances. The Palestinian organization Hamas should be recognized and Palestine should be formally represented in the United Nations.

Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that the relief package of Rs 400 billion for farmers will be the new Pandora’s Box of corruption. He said that the rulers are not ready to give up their indulgences, so far 23 bailout packages have been given to the country by the IMF, which destroyed the country. He said the IMF comes to enslave nations. He said that the IMF is under the influence of the United States and the policy will not improve the economy. NEPRA is directly saying that the tariff should be increased. He said that IMF has instructed NEPRA to increase the price of electricity to 82, 83 rupees per unit. After giving eighteen hundred billion rupees to IPPs, these agreements are not being revised.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the purchase of wheat was announced but no implementation was done .The Punjab government cheated the farmer and refused to buy wheat after promising to buy it. People are being held hostage by social constraints, there should be reforms. He said that the Punjab government should tell where the package of Rs 400 billion is for the sake of farmers.
