There are many forces who want to see unrest in Pakistan: Qureshi


MULTAN, Dec 12 (SABAH): Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi has said there are many forces that who want to see unrest in Pakistan and did not want to see Pakistani prospering and did not want stability and financial prosperity in Pakistan because their strategic agenda is contrary to this. Shah Mahmood Qureshi prayed may Almighty Allah destroy these forces, adding that may Almighty Allah help Kashmiris and Palestinians to get rid of the suppression forces. 

Addressing at the concluding session of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam conference in Multan on Sunday, Shah Mahmood Qureshi maintained that Pakistan is working on the agenda of regional connectivity to overcome energy crisis, improve trade between regional countries, create job opportunities in Pakistan and bring foreign investment in the country. The Foreign Minister said Pakistan wants stability and durable peace in Afghanistan.

He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, he has called the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC on 19th of this month in Islamabad.

He said the agenda of the meeting is to discuss prevailing situation in Afghanistan and find out ways to help Afghan people, adding that the purpose of Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC meeting is to bring peace, stability and prosperity in Afghanistan. He said that the peace and stability is linked with Pakistan’s agenda of connectivity of the region and energy crisis could be overcome and economic difficulties of Pakistan are resolved and trade could be promoted through this connectivity. He said that foreign investment comes and Pakistan should be strengthened, right should be given to the proper person and unemployed should get employment, commodity prices are stability and there should peace, stability and prosperity in the country. Shah Mahmood Qureshi prayed may Almighty Allah protect Pakistan and shower His blessings on Pakistan.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Kashmiris and Palestinians have been under the oppression and hostility since long and prayed to Almighty Allah for the freedom of Kashmir and Palestine and for an end to brutalities against these Muslims.

He said shrines of saints are source of unity, tolerance and brotherhood. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the coronavirus pandemic affected the economies of whole world, adding that the cyclone of inflation is also the impact of the coronavirus. He said that the whole world and Pakistan was affected economically due to the coronavirus. Shah Mahmood Quresh prayed may Almighty Allah end this pandemic. Shah Mahmood Qureshi also thanked the media for giving tremendous coverage to the Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam conference.
