Syed Salahuddin urges Kashmiri people across LoC to observe complete shutter down & hold protest demonstrations against holding G20 meeting in Srinagar on May 22

MUZAFFARABAD, May 18 (SABAH): Hizbul Mujahideen Chief and United Jihad Council Chairman Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has appealed to Kashmiri people to observe complete shutter down and hold protest demonstrations on both sides of Line of Control (LoC) against holding G20 meeting in Srinagar on May 22.

Addressing during a special meeting of United Jihad Council, Syed Salahuddin Ahmed said that holding G20 meeting at Srinagar is not only a clear violation of international laws, United Nation’s resolutions and ethical norms but also their violation and disrespect. On this occasion, he appealed to Kashmiri people to observe complete shutter down and hold protest demonstrations on May 22 against G20 meeting going to be held in Srinagar.

He further said that Modi government was trying to deceive the international community by holding G20 meeting in Srinagar as it was a controversial territory.

Syed Salahuddin also requested G20 countries to boycott this conference in the light of ethical norms and legal requirements. By holding this conference, he said the government of Modi was trying to deceive its own Indian people to highlight that environment is peaceful and normal in the occupied state as well it is unbroken portion of India where its opposite is true.

Since August 05, 2019, all the state has been converted into a garrison territory wherein rights of innocent Kashmiris were being crushed. Only during the ongoing month, thousands of youths have been put behind the bars at unknown places. To highlight such acts, he said the Kashmiri people needs to observe complete shutter down and hold protest demonstrations on both sides of LoC against holding G20 meeting on May 22.

Syed Salahuddin also appealed to Pakistanis and Pakistani leadership to stay away from political wrangling and take steps for overcoming Indian barbaric acts. God-willing every act of weakening Freedom Movement of Kashmir would be foiled, he added.
