Syed Ali Geelani is a beacon of hope for freedom-loving people around across the world: Syed Salahuddin

ISLAMABAD, Sep 01 (SABAH): Hizbul Mujahideen Chief and United Jihad Council Chairman Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has said that Father of the Kashmiri indigenous freedom movement Syed Ali Geelani’s life was marked by continuous struggle.

Addressing a joint session of the Command Council and General Council, Syed Salahuddin Ahmed said that Father of the Kashmiri indigenous freedom movement Syed Ali Geelani is a beacon of hope for freedom-loving people around across the globe. This devoted man sacrificed everything for the glory of Islam and freedom of Kashmir, he added.

He said that each of his action defiantly protested India’s suffocating hold over Occupied Kashmir, making his legacy a guiding light for generations of the future.

In the session, Geelani was appreciated for his unwavering commitment and uncompromising nature with the acknowledgement that Imam Geelani stood against the imperialistic domination of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and as a result, he endured years of prison in Indian jails and torture centers.

However, instead of bowing down to the impressive forces of the Indian state, he continued to resist until his last breadth. This determination was the driving force of his life and it will continue to inspire those who seek freedom. On September 01, 2021, the great leader breathed his last under Indian custody after years of incarceration.

In the joint session, a resolute and unwavering commitment was expressed that it is the duty and obligation of every Kashmiri to carry Imam Geelani’s unfinished mission to its completion. Therefore, until attainment of freedom, the relentless struggle against the oppressive grip of India will continue. This effort by the grace of Almighty Allah will undoubtedly find success.

In the session, a message was sent to the dedicated workers of the freedom movement affirming that their steadfastness is the key to the success of Kashmir freedom movement. The oppressors and tyrants will not be able to endure for much longer. We have faith that with the support and assistance of Almighty Allah the sun of freedom will rise soon.
