Syed Ali Geelani instilled the spirit of freedom in Kashmiri youth: Khaled Al-Qaddoumi

GAZA, Sep 05 (SABAH): The central leader and Spokesman of Hamas, Dr. Khalid Al-Qadoumi, has said that Syed Ali Shah Geelani was the leader of the youth of Kashmir, who instilled the spirit of freedom in them with his enthusiasm and reasoning.

Dr. Khalid Al-Qadoumi said in the statement that the Indian government imposed 11 years of detention on him, during which he could not attend the funerals of his close relatives, but he never turned away from his mission and through his leadership strengthened the freedom movement, even after his death, the Indian government put obstacles in his funeral and burial, but the resonance of his ideology is heard even today.

His death received messages of condolence from around the world, including a message from Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who described Geelani as a great leader of the Kashmir Liberation Movement. Syed Ali Geelani’s life ended in 2021 but the maturity of his ideology is still alive today and it has been testified by the head of Israeli forces that the ideology cannot be eradicated.
