Strong economic cooperation & strategic interaction b/w Pakistan & US important for regional peace & stability: FM Bilawal


MUNICH, Feb 19 (SABAH): Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that strong economic cooperation and strategic interaction between Pakistan and United States is important for regional peace and stability.

FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with delegation of United States bipartisan Senators headed by Lindsey Graham on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference in Germany on Sunday.

The meeting discussed broad based Pakistan and US relations, regional and global situation. FM Bilawal highlighted that strong economic cooperation and strategic interaction between Pakistan and US is important for regional peace and stability.

Meanwhile FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held meeting with President and CEO of International Crisis Group and had a good exchange of views on the regional and global matters.

Meanwhile FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also held meeting with US Congressman Rep. Eric Swalwell on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference in Germany on Sunday. Bilawal Bhutto said that Pakistan and US relationship is on a positive trajectory. Our sustained engagement will strengthen ties in areas including economy, trade, energy, security, health and climate. Bilawal Bhutto said that there is important contribution of our diaspora in solidifying Pak-US ties.

Meanwhile FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland Pekka Haavisto on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference in Germany on Sunday. The FMs discussed the importance of strengthening bilateral, economic, cultural and educational ties for shared progress.

Meanwhile FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari spoke at a reception held in honor of Executive Director for the United Nations World Food Programme David Beasley on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference 2023 and paid tribute to his six years of service and leadership at the helm of WFP in the service of humanity. “I extend my best wishes to him during his transition” FM Bilawal Bhutto said.
