Strength & continuity of democracy could only take country forward: Sirajul Haq

SAMAR, BAGH, Dec 25 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that strength and continuity of democracy could only take the country forward.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing workers convention at his own electoral constituency NA-6, Shahi Tehsil Samar Bagh, Dir. He further said the parties of cruel landlords and corrupt capitalists are an obstacle in the strength of democracy. On this occasion, district emir Azazul Mulk Afkari was also present.

Instead of individuals, he said Jamaat-e-Islami wanted the rule of law while other parties revolve around individuals or families. He said inflation, disorder, unemployment in the country are due to faulty polices of former governments of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

He further said if the abovementioned parties again come into power then there is not a single percent chance of betterment, adding performance of their past and current narrative are zero. He said now the people know them well and added on Feb 8, the sun of rule of people will appear and politics of families would come to an end.

After coming into power, Sirajul Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami will transform Pakistan into modern Islamic welfare state according to statement of Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Emir Jamaat-e-Islami further said that after coming into power, it would bring reforms in each and every field which would revolve development and prosperity of an individual. He said they would decrease administration budget and increase development budget.

Sirajul Haq said that they would bring long term projects and put an end to VIP and non-development expenditures. He said that Jamaat-e-Islami is preparing vision up to 2050. God-willing Pakistan would become a country which will give debts, he said and added they would ensure just division of wealth.

Betterment in economy is linked to eradication of interest system, he said and added they would bring system of Zakat and ushr in the country. Unluckily since last 76 years, the cruel landlords, corrupt capitalists and some families have been ruling the country. He said over 35 years were wasted by dictators and other remaining time was wasted by so-called democratic parties.

Sirajul Haq maintained that during the period the rulers focused their own interests instead of interests of the nation. He further said the former rulers made their assets abroad and increased their wealth there, adding they made their own future but destroyed future of the nation.
