South Korea rocked by soaring sales of dog strollers

SEOUL, Sep 10 (SABAH): South Korea rocked by soaring sales of dog strollers. The hand-wringing might be at its fiercest in South Korea, home to the wealthy world’s lowest birthrate, as well as another distinction that has fur flying: the skyrocketing sales of dog strollers, which last year outpaced those of baby strollers for the first time, according to Gmarket, one of South Korea’s leading mall.

The premium model of the luxury dog stroller brand Abergi costs 1,100 dollars (about 1.48 million won) per unit.

The company originally introduced baby strollers, but recently, its Korean division has cleared them up and is selling only dog strollers.
