So far Pakistan receives 95 relief assistance flights for flood affectees from different countries of the world: FO Spokesperson


ISLAMABAD/KARACHI/RAWALPINDI, Sep 14 (SABAH): So far Pakistan has received 95 relief assistance flights for the flood affectees from different countries of the world.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad on Wednesday, so far Pakistan has received total 41 relief assistance flights from United Arab Emirates (UAE), 13 from Turkiye, four from China, one from Uzbekistan, four from Qatar, one from France, two from UNICEF, 9 from UNHCR, one from Turkmenistan, three from the World Food Programme (WFP), one from Jordan, 12 from United States of America (USA) including one support flight, one from Nepal and two from Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile in continuation of humanitarian assistance Wednesday’s flight from USA carrying flood relief assistance landed at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. Total of 12 such flights from USA have landed in Pakistan carrying relief goods for the flood affectees.

FO Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said that the humanitarian assistance from USA is welcomed with warmth and gratitude.

Meanwhile in continuation of humanitarian assistance Wednesday’s flight from KSA carrying flood relief assistance landed at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. Two such flights from KSA have landed in Pakistan carrying relief goods for the flood affectees. FO spokesperson said that humanitarian assistance from USA is welcomed with warmth and gratitude.

Meanwhile in continuation of humanitarian assistance Wednesday’s flight from UAE carrying flood relief assistance landed at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.

Total of 40 such flights from UAE have landed in Pakistan carrying relief goods for the flood affectees.

FO spokesperson said that Pakistan is thankful to the Government and people of UAE for their continuous and valuable support in these times of grave crisis.

Meanwhile in continuation of humanitarian assistance Wednesday’s flight from UNHCR carrying flood relief assistance landed at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. Total of 9 such flights from UNHCR have landed in Pakistan carrying relief goods for the flood affectees. FO spokesperson said that the humanitarian assistance from UNHCR is welcomed with warmth and gratitude.

In continuation of humanitarian assistance Wednesday’s second flight from UAE carrying flood relief assistance landed at Noor Khan Airbase, Rawalpindi. Total of 41 such flights from UAE have landed in Pakistan carrying relief goods for the flood affectees.

FO spokesperson said that Pakistan is thankful to the Government and people of UAE for their continuous and valuable support in these times of grave crisis.
